2020 is my Year of the Bird. Most knitted items will have a bird motif.
The first thematic item is this Hat that features a curlew (a coastal shore bird).
The first items that I knit in 2020 year were actually non-thematic. They are baby sweaters. The lacy sweater with the leaf motif is an old pattern. I’ve seen it on babies for more than 30 years. The one with contrasting sleeves is called Macaron, and was popular for babies in 2019.
More bird hats. I’ve wanted to make the blue songbird hat for more than a year, and am now ready to sell it on Amazon Handmade. The motif for the bottom of this series is from a book of knitting and embroidery patterns from a small Estonian Island, Muhu.
Fingerless mittens are idea for shoulder seasons. They add warmth while enabling you to use your phone. These alpaca silk beauties are super soft and incredibly light.
