In January 2023, Anita (30) and I (Juliette, 68) traveled to Japan, Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore. For two weeks in Japan, we visited theme parks, tea fields, bamboo forests and friends. Our favourite almost-two-year-old loved slides almost as much as we did, and was thrilled to stop at a playground every chance we got. In Malaysia, Anita went white water rafting, we got rained out of a boat tour of fireflies, and enjoyed the relaxation of an island near the Thai border. Singapore is a city of gardens, and we visited several and stayed in a hotel known for its plantings.
