The Batu Caves are an important site for Hindus outside of India. There are 283 steps leading up to the main cave, and the base has an enormous gold statue. With the flocks of pigeons, it’s a bit chaotic.
We thought there were going to be facilities for left luggage. Nope. So I stayed at the base and let Anita do the climbing.

You can see her waving at the base of the blue section of stairs.

The cave is enormous.

From the Batu Caves, we took a Grab car to Genting Highlands. There was a lot of traffic, since it’s the weekend closest to the Lunar New Year. Both Anita and I slept for much of the journey.
