LYS: Golden Dragon

The Golden Dragon is a crafts shop on the edge of Singapore’s Chinatown. When I looked for yarn shops, this is one that came up often, and was a block from the hotel. They have a selection of Sirdar, Rowen, some Japanese yarns, and some acrylics. Both times I went to the store (I had to go back with my camera), there were women thoughtfully pondering purchases. Some had friends, with whom to discuss colour selections; others were alone. In other words, it was a popular store.

At the entrance, they had a great selection of reasonably priced Clover accessories. The Pom Pom maker that I recently purchased in Victoria was slightly less here. Very few things are cheaper in Singapore. Bus fare and Pom Pom makers are two such things.

Ribbon yarn seemed to be the most popular novelty yarn.

One store wall contained the quilting cotton. There was a modest supply of fat quarters too.
