The Hamilton Gardens were a complete surprise. First, our navigation app directed us to a minor parking lot. We followed a so-so path to a big lake with lovely plantings. Then we followed the river walk past a swimming hole.
Nice, but not worthy of the signage.
After Pear Sorbet, we found the enclosed gardens.

And that’s where the magic begins.

The Japanese Garden emulated a specific period.

The gardens each went off a central hub. The most established went off the first hub, and focused on contemplation.

The next set of gardens went off a ‘Time’ hub and featured traditional European and Asian gardens.

The third hub had less formal gardens.

The Surrealist Garden was fun.

The Egyptian Garden was serene.
There was a kitchen garden, a sustainable back yard garden, an English Garden Party site and more.
I don’t understand how they fit everything into the site. The rooms seemed to go on and on and on.
Overall, a worthwhile visit and one of my favourite from the trip.
